My name is Sophie Hustwick, and I am a British photographer.
My collective body of work is distinguished not only by its documentation of everyday surroundings, but also by an exploration of the interplay between colour, composition, and content in creating emotional weight. I’m drawn to pops of colour, subtle shifts in light, and the textures that shadows create.
I have a particular interest in scenes that feel rooted in the past, interiors and exteriors that carry the character of another time. There’s something inherently inviting about older spaces and the traces of those who once moved through them.
Often, I wait for that fleeting, magical moment when everything is bathed in a warm, consuming glow, when colours grow richer, shadows deepen, and the world seems to drip in gold. Just like honey.
